Our
Story
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation consists of three parts: information gathering, goal setting, and creating a plan to reach your goals. The first part of the consult consists of gathering background information on medical history, medication, supplement use, weight history, diets tried in the past, exercise habits, current typical day’s diet, etc. The second part consists of setting goals, identifying motivations behind those goals, and identifying potential barriers to achieving the goals. Finally, we will come up with an individualized plan to reach your goals. Sometimes this means a detailed food plan, and sometimes it means coming up with strategies to combat a behavior that is prohibiting you from reaching your goals (for example, evening snacking).
Follow Up Consultation
The frequency of follow up consultations varies from person to person. We suggest meeting on weekly or biweekly basis until you are comfortable with a less frequent basis. Some people like to meet weekly initially and then go down to monthly and eventually quarterly. The follow up sessions involve reviewing progress towards the goals that were set, setting new goals, and creating new strategies to reach the goals as needed.
Sweat testing
Find out the concentration of your sweat with a resting sweat test. The Precision Hydration sweat testing machine does the work for you. You sit at rest while the machine stimulates your sweat glands in one small area on your arm and then a collection device is placed to get the sweat. It is all completely painless and takes about 20 minutes for the process. You get your results immediately and we will discuss how to apply them to your training and race/competition events. This test is a must-do for athletes who train or compete for long periods of time, especially in hot or humid conditions. If you are not getting the recovery you need, cramp frequently, or struggle to finish your workouts then this test is for you!
Evolt 360 Body Composition Test
(Initial)
The Evolt 360 body composition scanner provides 40 different measurements of your muscle mass (arms, legs, torso), fat mass (subcutaneous and visceral), water (extracellular and intracellular), and mineral content in about 60 seconds. We will conduct the scan and go through the results right away. Not available if you have a pacemaker or are pregnant.
Evolt 360 Body Composition Test
(Follow up)
After you’ve had your first scan you can come back for follow up scans to track your progress. Lost weight? How much was fat vs muscle vs water? Gained weight? Did you gain muscle or fat? We can track your progress along your rehabilitation from surgery, weight loss, or weight gain journey.
